Sweetened or Unsweetened

Ok, here is the issue that has been bugging the hell out of me for a while.  How many of you go to a restaurant or a fast food place and ask for Ice Tea, and he waiter or person behind the mic says, sweetened or unsweetened.

This is where I have a problem. You see there is no such thing as unsweetened! The general publics ignorance concerning this drives me nuts.  To have unsweetened tea it must first be sweetened. And because tea itself is naturally plain, it can not be unsweetened. You have to add elements for it to be sweet, like sugar.  I was driving through Burger Kind because I just wanted a Ice Tea.  The booming voice behind the big box with a speaker says, you guessed it , Sweetened or Unsweetened,,AAARRRGGGHHH.

I became irate and yelled back, "Look buddy, I want plain Ice tea.  I tried to explain that unsweetened would be plain ice tea, and that it's not sweet in the first place, yadda, yadda , yadda.
He did not get it, I so give up on the youth of today, and Im not that old myself. This leaves me no choice but to conclude that we are all doomed.
